Takuji Usui

I am an evolutionary ecologist. I love exploring the big, foundational questions at the intersection of ecology and evolution on what shapes patterns of biodiversity, and how these processes and patterns are rapidly changing.

I will be starting my lab at the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at Yale University in January 2027. I did my postdoctoral training at the University of Toronto with Megan Frederickson, my PhD at the University of British Columbia with Amy Angert, and my BSc at the University of Edinburgh.

See here for my CV.
